How do we send you a solicitation, RFQ or RFP?+
Email it to our procurement contact. We acknowledge every solicitation within one business day and answer requests for quotes, proposals and bids for janitorial and custodial services in Bexar County.
Do you quote small purchases, or only formal bids?+
Most public work starts as a quote. Texas cities and counties can buy services under $100,000 with quotes instead of a sealed bid, and federal buyers can place micro-purchases under $15,000 on a purchase card or purchase order. Ask for a quote the way you would ask for a walkthrough: we walk the building and send a written scope and price.
Can you provide a W-9?+
A W-9 is provided on request.
Do you pay Service Contract Act wages on federal work?+
Yes. A federal service contract over $2,500 carries a Department of Labor wage determination; we price to the janitor rate published for Bexar County plus the health-and-welfare benefit ($5.55 an hour as of July 2025) and pay it, with the records to show it.
Can you bid on federal buildings and Joint Base San Antonio?+
Sometimes, and we say so up front. Many federal custodial contracts are reserved by law for AbilityOne nonprofits, and recent custodial contracts at Joint Base San Antonio were set aside for service-disabled-veteran-owned firms. Where a building is on that list we can work only as a subcontractor or a teaming partner. Where it is not, we bid.
How do you invoice, and on what terms?+
Monthly, against your purchase order, with the visit records for the month available in the portal or as PDFs for your contract file. Net 30 under the Texas Prompt Payment Act; no deposit.
Can you work to our specification: APPA levels, task frequencies, green cleaning?+
Yes. Your specification becomes our checklist: APPA cleanliness levels, task frequencies by area, Green Seal GS-42 or EPA Safer Choice products. Each nightly report then shows every task done or not done against that list, with photos of the priority areas.
